great location but breakfast needs improvement

The room was spacious with comfortable beds making it a pleasant place to rest. I loved the balcony at the bar, perfect for unwinding in the afternoon while enjoying a drink. Additionally, the nearby Delish Sisters offered an exceptional dinner experience that truly stood out.

The breakfast line on the second day was excessively long, which was inconvenient.

Staying at Shepherd Hotel in downtown Clemson felt like a good taste of Americana! And the comfortable bed ensured we rested well. While we faced minor issues with parking, the overall experience exceeded expectations, perfectly blending charm and comfort.

Two nights at the bar turned into a test of patience thanks to poor service. it often felt like nobody knew what they were doing, even when the bar wasn’t crowded. Additionally, the lack of a dedicated business center was inconvenient for remote work activities, forcing us to improvise in our room instead.

I had a wonderful two-night stay with incredibly friendly staff and enjoyed being just a quick walk away from the beautiful waterfront park and the vibrant Clemson University campus, which made my city strolls even more enjoyable. The room was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploration. however, check-in could have been smoother with a bit more staff knowledge.

Parking was also a concern as I found it somewhat challenging to navigate. I'd love to see improvements in restaurant efficiency to match the great overall vibe of the hotel.
